Hands-on sea trials with the U2 and M10 introduced Highfield’s dealer network to quiet, responsive electric propulsion in real-world tender applications.
Highfield Academy brought together Highfield France’s sales network for an immersive on-water brand experience at Marina Baie des Anges. As part of the event, Momentum joined the programme to introduce its electric outboard solutions to Highfield dealers from France and across Europe through live demonstrations and real sea trials.
Designed as a hands-on product experience, the event gave participants the opportunity to explore a broad Highfield fleet, strengthen connections across the commercial network, and test different boat and propulsion setups in a premium marina environment. For Momentum, it was a valuable opportunity to show how electric propulsion can fit naturally into the tender segment and deliver a strong user experience from the first few minutes on the water.
Throughout the day, dealers were able to test Momentum motors on different Highfield tenders in real operating conditions. Two configurations drew particular attention: the Momentum U2 fitted on a tender under 3 metres, and the Momentum M10 installed on a 3.40 metre tender. These trials gave participants a direct feel for the benefits of electric propulsion on compact boats, where ease of use, comfort, and practicality matter most.

For many attendees, this was still a relatively new category. That made the on-water experience especially important. Feedback from the trials quickly centered around several standout qualities: smooth acceleration, immediate throttle response, quiet operation, and the overall simplicity of handling the motors. The silence on the water was particularly memorable, changing how many participants viewed the day-to-day experience of using an electric tender.
The level of performance also made a strong impression. Participants noted that the power delivery felt particularly convincing for boats of this size, helping demonstrate that Momentum's electric propulsion systems can offer both comfort and capability in practical tender applications.
The event also highlighted how different products within the Momentum range can serve different use cases. On a tender below 3 metres, the U2 demonstrated a compact, manageable, and efficient electric solution that is easy to operate and well suited to smaller craft. On the larger 3.40 metre tender, the M10 showed how greater power can be paired with the same core electric advantages: quiet running, smooth control, strong responsiveness, and user-friendly operation.

For Momentum, Highfield Academy was more than a product demonstration. It was a meaningful opportunity to engage directly with a professional dealer network and show where electric propulsion is already delivering value today. Giving dealers the chance to test the motors themselves, on the water, helped turn curiosity into confidence.
As more boat builders, dealers, and end users explore lighter, quieter, and easier-to-use propulsion options, events like this play an important role in accelerating adoption. Momentum is seeing growing interest from boat builders seeking lightweight, high-performance electric propulsion solutions.
Conclusion
The first Highfield Academy provided an excellent setting for Momentum to demonstrate the real-world potential of electric propulsion on Highfield tenders. With strong interest around the U2 and M10, and positive feedback on silence, responsiveness, ease of use, and performance, the event reinforced the growing relevance of electric outboards in the evolution of modern boating.
